Shahrazad Lima makes things with cloth — from the fibre up. Her practice spans hand knitting, natural dyeing, pattern making, and garment construction, alongside textile-based art objects that sit equally at home in a studio or a gallery. Rooted in fashion history and material research, her work takes the slow, considered qualities of making seriously.

I want to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. I pay my respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, and I honour their deep and enduring connection to Country.
